INTRODUCTION
The job competencies catalogue was designed with the following purposes:
▪ Standardize the way in which competencies are understand by HR staff
▪ Assist recruitment officers in developing professional Interview Guides for Hiring Managers
▪ Assist training officers in their discussions about the need to develop certain employees competencies and Performance Appraisal
The competencies are grouped as follows:
▪ Core competencies – which are based on ING values and are evaluated during the Performance Appraisal
▪ Managerial competencies – which are required for every managerial position no matter the business area
▪ Job/Specialist competencies – which could be required for one or another position of specialist
For each competency there are presented:
▪ Definition
▪ Behavioural evidence – the most relevant and often encountered in a interview discussions
▪ Questions to identify the competency – there are several leading questions and for each of them some follow-up questions
