Epoch- a particular period of time marked by distinctive features, events, etc, the beginning of a distinctive period in the history of anything, a point of time distinguished by a particular event or state of affairs; a memorable date, age, date, era, time.
Atrocious- extremely or shockingly wicked, cruel, or brutal, shockingly bad or tasteless; dreadful; abominable, felonious, heinous, monstrous, diabolical, devilish, execrable; detestable.

Squalid- foul and repulsive, as from lack of care or cleanliness; neglected and filthy; wretched; miserable; degraded; sordid, dirty, unclean.
Intangible- not tangible; incapable of being perceived by the sense of touch, as incorporeal or immaterial things; impalpable; not definite or clear to the mind; vague, elusive, fleeting, incapable of being perceived by the senses, incapable of being realized or defined; incorporeal.
Sagacity- acuteness of mental discernment and soundness of judgment, the quality of being discerning, sound in judgment, and farsighted; wisdom.
Efficacy- capacity for producing a desired result or effect; effectiveness; power or capacity to produce a desired effect.
Deference- respectful submission or yielding to the judgment, opinion, will, etc., of another; respectful or courteous regard; submission or courteous yielding to the opinion, wishes, or judgment of another.
