throat, nose and other organs in our body such as the lymph nodes, lungs and digestive tract. This type of sarcoma is made up of cancer and
blood cells that causes purple, red or brown blotches or tumors on the skin. Sometimes Kaposi’s sarcoma can spread to the digestive tract or
lungs that may create emergency life threatening conditions. The most common symptom for Kaposi’s sarcoma includes bloody sputum and
shortness of breath. A patient who is suffering from cancer and who had radiotherapy for another cancer are at high risk for suffering from Kaposi’s
sarcoma. Moreover, people with AIDS are also at a high risk for developing Kaposi’s sarcoma. Kaposi’s sarcoma can be diagnosed with radiation
therapy, proton therapy, computed tomography, positron emission tomography and tissue biopsy. Possible treatment option for Kaposi’s sarcoma
includes chemotherapy, cryotherapy and radiation therapy.
