A} Read the following excerpt from Hammurabi's Code and do as instructed below
Hammurabi's Code listed 282 laws dealing with a variety of subjects. A few examples of these laws are listed below. 10 Marks
1- If a man put out the eye of another man, his eye shall be put out.
2- If he breaks another man's bone, his bone shall be broken.
3- If he put out the eye of a freed man, or break the bone of a freed man, he shall pay one {silver} mina.
4- If he put out the eye of a man's slave, or break the bones of a man's salve, he shall pay one-half of its value.
5- If a man knock out the teeth of his equal, his teeth shall be knocked out.
6- if he knock out the teeth of a freed man, he shall pay one-third of a {silver} mina.
7- If any one strike the body of a man higher in rank than he, he shall receive sixty blows with an ox-whip in public.
