About Audiological Device
Audiological devices are hearing aids that are used in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and balance disorders. The audiological devices are small electronic devices, which consists of three parts: microphone, speaker, and amplifier. A hearing aid works on conversion of sound waves to electrical signals. A sound wave is send across through a microphone, which then converts to electrical signals and delivers to an amplifier. The signals are then retrieved by the amplifier and send via a speaker. The devices are made with advanced technologies and new concepts to diagnose hearing impairment and to increase hearing capacity of the patient. Hearing loss is caused due to chronic ear infections, meningitis, measles, mumps, and presbycusis (age-related hearing loss). BTE, ITE, CIC, IIC, RIC, and RITE are different type of hearing aids available in the market.
