Mentoring is an important process inside organization to concentrate into individual development whom will be the future managers and leaders in the organization. Mentor is responsible to guide mentees whom working in different department regarding their career progression and development. The mentor is usually a senior manager whom has a great experience and broad knowledge in the organization. Mentoring is long relationship between two parties and the main aspect that required to be considered in mentoring is mentee capability and potential.

There are several purposes of using mentoring in the organization that individual and organization benefit from. Mentee required to have a clear understanding what a successful role model look like in order to look up for that person. He will discuss his idea, plan, thought, and any obstacles that he is having regarding work or life. Sharing mentor successful experience and advice is an important purpose in mentoring, so mentee will focus in developing his skills and knowledge. Mentee required support at work and someone to open vertical opportunities.

Excellent relationship between mentor and mentee is important in order to have a successful mentoring process which includes several key aspects that need to be considered. Mentor has to be able to deliver the knowledge and use their broad networking in the organization. The mentoring discussions are totally confidential and the information cannot be shared with other parties. Mentor relationship required to be open with the mentee in challenging ideas and providing suggestions since the mentor has the awareness of the organization goals and objectives. On the other hand, mentee required to take the responsibility of his development and learning based on the defined goals.
