5 Points from Ch. 21

The first topic I would like to talk about is the inventing of new technology. Technology has always played a major role in human development and in the business world. In the late nineteenth century and the early twentieth century technology helped manufacturers produce more quantities of goods without spending too much on man power. The significance of this is it allowed more and more technology to be used in the work place making it easier for employers and employees to work efficiently and produce more goods. Today we see this, even if it’s more complicated than the technology used at the turn of the century. What would the work place be like without computers or even the simple telephone? Things wouldn’t get done as easily or efficiently as they do, even the simplest tasks. The second topic I would like to talk about is vertical and horizontal integration.
