Act like a Lady, Think like a Man:
What Men Really Think about Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment
The book that I chose to read and write my report on was Act like a Lady, Think like a Man: What Men Really Think about Love, Relationships, Intimacy and Commitment by Steve Harvey. As the title states, this is a relationship advice book, that is suppose to help women get an understanding on the way that men think and feel when they are with a woman. Steve Harvey gives amazing advice and discloses many of the things that women need to know in order to help them have greater success in their relationship. The advice that Steve Harvey gives is full of insight and is sure to help any woman in a relationship with almost any man. Some of the main points that stuck out in the book were the chapters on the things that men need when in a relationship, what a men will do when they are truly in love with a woman, and the types of women that men look for when they are trying to start a relationship that they want to last.
Another very important part of this book that I felt was of great value to many women is the information that he gave when discussing the type of women that a man will and will not marry or enter into a quality relationship with. In the book, he compares choosing a woman to fishing, statingthat men fish for one of two reasons, which are sport fishing or fishing to eat. This idea then goes further and he explains that if a man compares a woman to a sports fish, he is saying that she is your basic party girl, who will do anything with just about anyone and a man is able to find her from a mile away. She is also the type of female who is not desiring a long term relationship with one person and through her signals lets a man know that he is able to treat her any way that he so desires.
