Information and Communications Technology we know as ICT, gains grounds globally, it has become very essential for policy makers of the world and strategists to integrate this emerging force into the national plan for growth and development. We know from scientists that Technology is the Master of Science with some branches under it and Information and Communication Technology is one. Since Information and Communications Technology requires a certain basic level of knowledge, the Ghana Education Service (GES) in arrangement of two or more objects with the Curriculum, Research and Development Division (CRDD) of Ghana have developed a way which prepares you to be effective in the ICT department of any organization, opening the doors to a wide variety of public sectors, private sectors and voluntary organizations. It has also help established a knowledge of ICT which is ideal preparation for teaching ICT in schools and colleges and taught by experts who are researching at the forefront of ICT professionalism, ICT services, and ICT software practice. ICT has changed the societies, countries, and the world today whereby people interact directly with computers in fields such as Home, Education, Finance, Government, Health care, Science, Publishing, Travel, and Manufacturing.
I will like to give the differences between Information, Communications, and Technology and their advantages and disadvantages for use to the world. We know from grammar that, Information is defined as a numerical measure of the uncertainty of an outcome and knowledge acquired through study or experience or instruction. Communication also is defined as a connection allowing access between persons or places and the activity of conveying information, while, Technology is the art or science of applying scientific knowledge to practical problems.
