I. Moose goes to Alcatraz because his dad had gotten a job as a security guard. Moose does not think that he is going to make friends on the island but then he finds four kids. He starts going to school in Los Angeles (by a boat). He starts going to school and learns about the kids and what they do every week (they play baseball every Tuesday). Then Piper (the warden of Alcatraz’s daughter) comes up with this bright idea to have convicts wash the student’s clothes for money. Piper makes up stories telling students how Moose met the convicts. While Moose is telling stories Piper is packing up clothes and putting it in their backpacks. So they start putting them in their hampers in little portions so that they do not get caught. So they start getting money for the business. Moose’s mom gets a job so he has to come home straight from school everyday so he can watch Natalie (his little autistic sister). So Moose cannot help Piper collect money and clothes. Then Piper gets angry because Moose cannot help her. The Warden then gets a letter from one of the student’s parents at Piper and Moose’s school. The Warden calls Piper and Moose into his office and reads the letter out loud to them then starts yelling at them. Piper is trying to think of a new way to get the business up and running. In the mean time Moose’s parents tries to get Natalie into an autistic school. Natalie gets rejected so her parents hire a tutor that will come to their home so that she can get accepted to the school. Since the tutor is coming Moose can go back to the business and play baseball again. Natalie gets her button box taken away (one of her favorite toys) because the tutor thinks it is a distraction. They get the business going again. The convicts play baseball at a different part of the island. So Moose puts a note in the pocket of a kid (that they were doing the laundry for) so that he can contact Al...
