Alien Visitations and Abductions- Real or Not?
Today, Science fiction is the highest grossing media of all time. Everyone loves a good alien story. From Star Wars and E.T. to Close Encounters of the Third Kind people gravitate to this genre. However, one must also stay grounded in actual reality and question the practical aspect of the assumptions that alien’s exist and have, in actual fact, visited this planet? So, let’s take a closer look with consideration to the practical realities necessary for alien travel and visitation.
Of course, some will claim that anything is possible. Unfortunately the reality of our finite lives dictates otherwise. We live in a universe with physical limitations which finite beings in particular are subject to. Therefore, to consider the possibilities of other finite beings we must carefully look at the imposition of limits that must be considered with regards to alien visitations from other finite beings.
First of all, evolution is a prerequisite belief system that must be accepted in order for the theories of alien visitations to work at all. The common denominator of all alien life camps is that evolution has occurred for countless eons on the earth and all over the universe. This is the basis for virtually all belief in alien life. If there was no evolution or solid proof of such, there is much less chance of aliens. The examination of that assumption is a whole other topic however.
Nevertheless, with the strong media and the educational system support for the assumption of evolution as “science”, naturally science fiction and belief in alien life follows concurrently. If life “evolved” over eons, it would follow that alien life on distant planets could do the same. Different conditions, of course, would cause different species to develop as well which is why we see the odd assortment of characters in movies like Star Wars for example.
Although this is a claim which has its own set of problems to begin with it lends...
