As I sat in my car preparing myself for the long travel ahead and making sure I have my trusted GPS system with me. As I reach to this small, smooth display and rugged back finish putting the information to my destination. It is a sign of relief knowing that this could help me along the way.
I reach to its smooth lit display because I needed my bearing. It assures me that I’m heading down the right path. I sat there admiring my surroundings for a moment. To the right of me were two rows of evenly aligned trees, suggesting they were planted by whoever planned this neighborhood out. To the left of me is flat brown field as far I could see. The wind created a rustle in the trees as I pass by. To the left of me was a line of nearly identical homes, perpendicular to the trees on my right. Porch lights dimly lit the fronts of the houses, though not intensely enough to draw attention to them.
I glanced at my watch and its 9:40. And, with loud note rang, letting me know that I arrive. Finally, my friend emerges from her home, and she started walking towards me. As she eagerly crawled into the passenger seat and the warmth feeling appeals to me. She glances with a smile as I turned the ignition, and a mild rumble came from the engine. The music came on and was enough to persuade someone into nostalgia. The repetitive beats and ambient vocals were ideal for driving. And yet, here it is making sure that I adhere to its instruction not really listening to the music intently in order for it to have an effect on my mood. I looked out the window. Quickly passing by were homes, office buildings, and walls of subdued greens. It was informing me that I missed a turn and suggested immediate action. “Turn left at the light,” It informed me. “This one” I muttered to myself, as I pulled up to the light to regain to my course.
