Nuclear power should not be used as nuclear power poses an unacceptable risk to the environment and to humanity. We need to find an energy system that can fight climate change based on renewable energy such as wind or solar( from the sun)

No nuclear power reactor in the world is completely safe. Uranium mining creates nuclear waste and there is no risk free way to store nuclear waste. The waste stays radioactive for thousands of years. The reactors are also highly vulnerable to deliberate acts of sabotage including terrorist attack.

Thirdly, the Chernobyl disaster is an example of how unsafe nuclear power is to humans. The explosion of the power plant in Ukraine was followed by radioactive contamination of the surrounding area. It was the worst accident in the history of nuclear power. Radioactive fallout drifted over Europe, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus and there are still continuing health problems in these countries.

Seventy two percent of people surveyed by Greenpeace said they did not want nuclear power.

Nuclear power destroyed one town don’t let it destroy our world.
