Analyzing Organizational Behavior

Introduction
Organizational behavior is one of the most studied and well used topics of research these days. The behavior of the employer as well as the culture of the organization is very crucial to the person working as well as whole environment of the workplace. The current employer which I will analyze in this paper is the military, that is, the United States Air Force. Working with the Air Force has helped me a lot in understanding the attitude and behavior of my seniors as well as subordinates. This paper will analyze the behavior of my employer in both aspects that are positive as well as negative.

Thesis Statement
The role of the employer is significant not only to increase performance and motivation, but also as an emotional quotient to communicate responsibilities and maintain effective and long lasting relationships in an organization.

Organizational Behavior and Social Sciences
Organizational behavior is the field of study that focuses understanding, describing and evaluating groups and individuals in an organization. Some of the research studies conducted on this topic help individuals meet the real work challenges as well as help in management areas such as human behavior, business planning as well as strategic management. This study might allow people to recognize the best or the worst of their employers and coworkers. Further research on job performance and training programs have helped in comprehending the concept of organizational behavior. Also, studies on social psychology and emotional intelligence have contributed to developing a framework on this topic (Colquitt, 2010). Other majors such as sociology, anthropology and economics have focused on areas such as motivation, team building, decision making and planning that has helped in the understanding or organizational behavior.
