Many things in life come to be very expensive. That being said, everything in our time of age comes with a cost. One of man-kinds best companion even has a cost. That is the canine; the specific breed I chose is the Rottweiler. My Rottweiler will be purchased as a puppy and will be a male and will be living in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The cost for a Rottweiler puppy, and throughout life till death are:
Initial set up cost:
Buying the puppy=$700 (Purchasing a Puppy - Fur Liebe Rottweilers).
Licensing=$8.45.
Cage=$42 Crate 24 inches length by 18 inches width by 19 inches height.
Pooper scooper=$10.
Wellness complete health deboned chicken oatmeal & salmon meal puppy food=$55 for 30 pounds.
Collar=$15
Chew toy=$4
Leash=$15
Two dog bowls=$20
( Save lives: spay & neuter) neutering=$100
Obedience training= 2 hours/day for first couple of months
Playing with the puppy= 5 hours/day
Total initial cost=$969.45 and 7 hours/day for first couple months
Keep and maintain for one year cost:
Vet visit=$250
Six Ol’Roy complete nutrition dog food=$52 for 50 pounds
Oster finish brush=$5 and 30 minutes every 2 weeks with a bath
No fencing
Training= 1 hour/day
Cleanng after= 1 hour per/week
Walking and playing the Rottweiler= 1 hour per/day
No classes needed
Toys=$40 over the year
Treats=$19/bag of Beggin Strips, 4 bags
New leash=$15
New collar=$15
New cage=$140, Size: 48"Length x 30"Width x 33"Height for dogs 91 – 110 pounds.
Total cost to keep and maintain for one year9excluding the initial cost=$853 and seeing the dog 2 hours/day
Owning a dog for its whole life span is very pricey. My Rottweiler would be the right price I would want to spend because I would care for him and I wouldn’t be wasting any money. So before you purchase a puppy, think about the initial cost and the cost down the road of your puppies life.
