If you were stuck in an Attack for two years, what would you do? A young girl named Anne Frank went through this. She is an example of a strong, courageous, hopeful, and loving young girl.
Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Germany. Anne was born during a time period when many people in Germany hated Jews. The Nazis, a strong group of people who hated Jews, were attacking Germany. They hated all Jews no matter who they were. Then in the year of 1933, the Frank family moved to Holland, which was considered a safe place for Jews. One day when Peter Van Daan was carrying a bag of dried beans up to the attic, something happened. The bag of beans spilled and everything came out. It made a loud noise as it scattered on the floor. Luckily, no one was downstairs that could hear them. That was a close call!
During that time, the Jewish people had to get a yellow star that showed people that they were Jewish. Anne was very courageous because she had the courage to go with her family to go get the yellow star even though then knew that after they had that star, they were in danger of getting taken away.
