I feel that this exhibition is quite interesting. Although I don’t really think that the masterpieces are really that beautiful, I feel that they each have very attractive topics or technique of painting.

I have two favourite picture in this gallery, one is “Shoes on the Move” drawn by “Li XiaoXuan” and “Figures” by “Shao Fei” I feel that these are very fascinating . Firstly, “Shoes on the Move” by a quick glance you may see a man hold a smaller man in his arms, but when you look closer. Many faces can be seen on the body and face of the men. I have always considered this as a very difficult technique; to me it’s very hard to use smaller pictures and then create a large one and I believe it takes lots of practice. I am really fond of this technique.
“Figures”, I guess this is not the real name; I really like this picture, although it is a bit uncensored. This picture is very colourful, and very creative. The artist has used many different colours yet the picture doesn’t look too messy. The behinds of the women are turned into cat faces, which is a very remarkable approach.

This is the first time I have been to a museum to appreciate art, and it’s quite different from my expectations. I’ve always thought that these exhibitions are very boring, but surprisingly I’ve enjoyed it very much. Also astonishingly, I feel that I did understand most of the pictures, maybe because it wasn’t abstract.
