Many times, when receiving information from within the company that will drastically change the face of the company, it’s automatically assumed that everyone will know what is being said. Well, today, I will not assume anything. My goal is to communicate clear and concise information so that there is no confusion. What will be discussed in short detail is attitude’s in the workplace, employment laws and how they affect us at InterClean, and last but not least best practices as it relates to diversity. I was speaking to a friend of mine, who works for a network wireless leader. Due to the current state of the economy, his company also was affected by the squeeze. He told me that, the number one factor when determining who to lay off first, was attitude. An employees’ willingness to remain flexible, versatile, and alert to change in today’s job market is important to longevity, if there is such a word anymore. It is also important to understand what business means and how it relates to each one of us employed here at InterClean. This restructuring and merger with EnviroTech is key to the survival of our company. To think that hard changes would not be the result of progress in today’s demanding environment would be wrong and naïve. It is my hope that as we move this necessary transition that no one would be affected, but unfortunately that will not be the case, so your attitude understandably will be altered with concerns but we expect professionalism at all times as we move forward. It is important during this transition that you are first line supervisors not engage in the speculation that may go on while we make this transition.
