Autism is a complex neurological disorder. Most people don’t even know there child has autism unless they are tested, and it may or may not be noticed infancy. For instance, from Asperger’s to low functioning Autism, Autism remains one of the most mysterious and growing disorders existent. Scientists don’t know why or the exact causes of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but most researchers suggest that both genes and environment play very important roles. In most of the studies done by many scientist measuring autism spectrum disorder (ASD) prevalence, the number of children that could be affected by ASD over a given time period, comes with many reports that have varies results, depending on when and where the studies were conducted and how the many studies defined ASD. Through diagnosis of either Autism, Asperger’s Disorder is on the increase, although it is unclear whether it is more prevalent or whether more professionals are detecting it. There can be many signs and symptoms for Autism and Asperger’s Disorder are the same listed in the DSM-IV, however, children with AS do not have delays in the area of communication and language.
The medical community is still trying to unravel many of the autism’s mystery. How much do you know about the disorders? In neuropsychiatric disorders, are coexisting disorders (called comorbidity) are the rules rather the exception. This is why it is so true in autism as well.
