In the past decade women have been more prevalent than men when it comes to autoimmune diseases today the number has increased and more women are suffering from an autoimmune disease than cancer. What researcher and scientist have failed or neglected to look further into is the increasing number of autoimmune disease in men. I will give three literature reviews where I will elaborate on the studies and findings in the studies that has lead me to proposal an awareness campaign in increasing research in autoimmune disease in men. The hypothesis is that there is a dearth of information on autoimmune diseases in men. I have included information pertaining to studies conducted with participants and interventions that can help identify the mystery of the silent threat in autoimmune disease. The literature reviews conducted on autoimmune disease have not been gender specific instead impartially bias within male studies. Autoimmune disease (define) this research proposal will open avenues in raising awareness exploring the mysteries in men with autoimmune diseases. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the increasing prevalence in men with autoimmune diseases. In past research women have been the focus. Statistically speaking they have outnumbered men and autoimmune diseases but such lack of obtaining futher information between gender differences has caused scientist and researchers to head in a total direction. The result is that the underline cause of autoimmune disease still remains a mystery some say women are more prone due to the hormone estrogen andso forth. A few studies relate the causes de to gender differences. Other studies weak in their data. More studies are needed in gender difference.
