Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful and magnificent building of the world because of its landscape, marbles, paintings, and most important is the history. Taj Mahal is a universal symbol of the power of love. Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description. Its beauty will never surpass.
Taj Mahal is now considered to be the one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj Mahal is located in city of Agra, in the state of New Delhi; India. Taj Mahal is built on the bank of river Yamuna, and it is built entirely of white marble. Taj Mahal is very famous in the world because of its marbles and its beauty. Its beauty reflects particularly at dawn and sunset; and seems to glow in the light of the full moon. On a foggy morning, the visitors experience the Taj Mahal as if suspended when viewed from across the Yamuna River.
Ustad Ahmad Lehauri is generally considered the principle designer of the Taj Mahal. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal. She died during the birth of her fourteenth child in 1631 leaving the emperor heartbroken. When Mumtaz Mahal died, she was just 39 years old. The site selected for the tomb was a garden by the Yamuna river, unshadowed by any other structure. Shah Jahan then decided to build the Taj Mahal for his beautiful wife, Mumtaz Mahal at the place where she was buried. Work on the mausoleum began in 1633. It took around 22 years to complete by taking 20,000 of the greatest artisans from India and central Asia, and over 1,000 elephants were used to transport building materials during the construction, and lot of masons and jewellers to build.
During that period, there were no modern tools and machineries. Once the bottom part of the Taj Mahal got finished, they covered it with sand, so that they could carry heavy marbles at the top the Taj with the help of animals. After the construction was over, Shah Jahan cut off the hands...
