Letting go the old and becoming new
Being a new student here at SAGU has been a great experience. I’m learning how to do things on my own and how to live without mom and dad. Since I’ve never been to college before, it’s hard to adapt to this kind of environment. I just graduated high school, so coming here is a very big step for me.
One thing that I love about the school so far is that the lord is always here. You have a chance to praise God with all of teachers and friends. You can go to a church service everyday and that was something that was offered back at home. You can never say that you never had a chance to talk to god because that’s not true at all. Something else I’m new to is that everybody is so friendly here. There have been so many times when I was sitting by myself in the café, and a random person came and sat next to me and ate lunch with me. There is no one here to make sure I do my homework. Some people here are not so nice, but I can pray for those who need it. All I have to do is be myself and my group will come to me.
Back at home we had a dress code, but it wasn’t bad at all. You had to wear a collared shirt and the shirt you wore at to be school appropriate. Y
Something else that’s new is the relationship thing. My home school was one of the worse schools in the district. So some...
