Believing in Yourself

What is the meaning of believing in yourself? Well there many different beliefs of this meaning, the most common meaning is know what you can do and the determination that you have. Believing in yourself is also one of the first steps to success. If you do not have self-confidence in yourself it will extremely difficult to do any thing else.

Louis Pasteur believed in himself. Everyday he told himself that he could find the cure and find the invisible enemy. There he went walking in the park on the way to his laboratory. “ I must find the invisible enemy,” he said. ‘ I must find the Rabies germs that hide inside people and make them sick –so sick that they die.”

When people told him that he could never find the cure, he ignored them. He did not care what other people thought. He did not care what little children thought. He did care up grownups thought. He only believed in himself and because of that he kept on working. He did what he knew and thought what was right.

What if Louis Pasteur listened to those people? What if he gave up? What would have happened to the little boy who got bitten 14 times? Would he survive? Image the boy who got bitten 14 times and how helpless he was. Louis Pasteur did not give up. He did not listen to others because of this he was able to save the little boy’s life.
