My favorite quote from Dr. Gary Chapman’s “The Five Love Languages” comes form the twelfth chapter of the book and reads “If you claim to have feelings that you do not have, that is hypocrisy…. But if you express an act of love that is designed for the other person’s benefit, it is simply a choice”.
This is my favorite quote because it spoke to me as I read it and it stood out more than any other quote in the book. The way it is expressed means to me that when you love someone and everything is clicking than it is really easy to go out of your way to show them you love them and it is simple to do small and/or extra thing for that person to express how you feel. For example you do the laundry or clean the kitchen as a token of appreciation towards your loved one. When you are acting like you do and expressing false feelings it becomes an everyday burden to do what is expected, much less do anything extra to show them how you really feel. Now that I knit picked a part I didn’t like here is what I really enjoyed and liked about this work of Dr. Chapman’s. The book was...
