Activity Descriptions:
Lights! Camera! Action!: Imagine that you are the author of the book you have just read, write a letter to a movie producer trying to get that person interested in making your book into a movie. Your letter must be at least 1 double-spaced page using either 12-point Arial or Times New Roman.
Comic This: Create a comic strip of 2 events from the novel. Be sure to clearly depict the characters, what they are thinking and what they are saying. Each comic strip should be at least 6 frames in length.
Monologue: You will dress up as one of the characters from your novel and will act out a scene that shows this character’s personality. You will be the ONLY person acting it out, so choose carefully and be creative!
Summarize It!: Write a one sentence summary of each chapter and illustrate that sentence.
Dear Diary: Write 3 two to three paragraph diary entries for one of the main characters in the novel. Be sure to include details about the character’s feelings about events and other characters in the story.
Conflicts: Stories are made up of conflicts and solutions. Choose three conflicts that take place in the story and give the solution. Be sure to tell which characters are involved, how the conflict started and how it was finally resolved. Lastly, tell if there was one conflict you wish had been handled differently.
