Boy Scout

Boy Scout

My Experience as a Boy Scout Having the opportunity to be a Boy Scout has been one of the greatest experiences in my entire life. When I was asked if I wanted to join Boy Scouts at the end of fifth grade, my response was an immediate yes. I had heard people talking about some of the activities that Boy Scouts did, and I was eager to go camping for the first time. Through Boy Scouts, I have been able to spend quality time with my dad that I would have not been able to otherwise. While we have been camping together, I have collected memories that I will never forget. In the future, I hope to become a successful accountant. Leadership is not a key role of an accountant but is needed. Planning and carrying out my eagle project taught me a little more about leadership. I had to maintain order throughout my project to make sure the right plans were being done correctly. As an accountant I will has to be a leader to my coworkers. If something gets horribly messed up, than I will have to step up and try my best to fix it as a leader should. Now, as I attempt to reach Eagle Scout I have realized how much I have learned during my experiences as a Scout. I have learned everything from how to communicate with others to how to administer CPR. I have be taught how administer first aid in an emergency, and how to tie multiple knots. Boy Scouts has helped me know what is right and what isn’t, and how to act in the outdoors. I have learned how to respect myself and to respect others. I am now prepared for the future because of Boy Scouts.
