Today I am going to talk to you about bullying and its effects on the youth of our country, bullying is a widespread problem but can be reduced with the proper approach. Bullying is common in all stages of life, from the workplace to the more common place were bullying takes place, in the schools. A majority of students have been bullied in one or more ways in their time in school, and this is a statistic that needs to be reduced as soon as possible and can be done with the proper technique. Bullying in its various forms is one of the new emerging problems that many children and teenagers have to face daily at school or while practicing extracurricular activities away from their parents view and protection.
Boys are a lot more likely to be bullies than girls. This is partially due to the large increase in testosterone in males between the ages of 9 and 14, which is when puberty starts for most males. This bullying epidemic has increased dramatically over the last 30 years and will continue to get worse if it is not taken seriously and stopped right away. “Bullying is a major problem in America, it causes many of the children is this country to do things they can not take back such as suicide.” (Ropart, Glen. There are many types of bullying, such as physical bullying which is any physical contact that would hurt or injure a person like hitting, kicking, punching, etc. “Another type of bullying is verbal bullying, which is described as name calling, making offensive remarks, or even joking about a person’s religion, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or the way they look, both of these types of bullying are two of the well known ways to bully, but there are many other ways to bully people that are not so well known, such as indirect bullying, which includes spreading rumors or stories about someone that are not...
