Project Description
MAA is a school for children ages 2yrs to 10years. MAA currently has a total of 106 students and total of 10 instructors. Students are primarily male with 30percent of female. The school generates revenue from class payments, testing fee, sales of uniform, books, and snacks &drinks.
Currently, MAA customer satisfaction is low; therefore student’s turnover is high in the last 9 months. As a result the school has lost incredible amount of revenue. WA presently operate using a paper based system, whereby student information and personal records are created in a 3x6 inch card and stored in a file. The system is expected to be available 24 hours.
Problem Statement
Numerous mistakes occur using this paper system. Information have been documented wrongly, misplaced, or lost.
Improper course scheduling, and test placement
The business transaction process is time consuming for both the students and the administrators.
Repetition of many process
As a result, MAA has lost majority of students, and there are no new students are enrolling.
Project Scope
The goal of this project is to develop an information system to improve customer satisfaction by retaining and attracting new students. This project will eliminate the paper system, and the new system will create the ability to:
Create, store, and manage new or existing memberships
Easy retrieval of student information
Managing student academic information like examination mark
Determine student grade and positions
Track attendance
Produce registration and examination report
Provide secured login and logout communication
Track all referrals and reward students who bring them in
Create and Store user profiles

The overall objective is to increase number of student by 45%, as a result increasing sales within the first year of implementation of the school management system.
