There have been many catastrophic events in this country’s history that have had major effects on the people, the government and other things. The major one in my history would be the incident that happened September 11th, 2001. I think we all know what happened that day.
The effect that day had on the people of The United States of America will be forever seen in the eyes and in the yards of the people for years to come. The immediate effect that September 11th had would be it enraged a lot of us but at the same time it also saddened the people who lost loved ones in the buildings.
If you drove around the country the next few months and even now in some cases there is a bigger sense of patriotism in the American people. Almost every house had a flag in their yard or on the side of the house. People started to pay more attention to the news to learn more about the countries that could possibly do this horrible thing to us.
The enraged citizens felt the need to go out and buy guns or some sort of protection.
Others found religion for the first time in a long time. They turned from a violent lifestyle to a
more peaceful relaxing enjoy life more sense of being.
Can you imagine the effect that day had on the people who lost someone in the buildings?
They had to go to funerals of people that never were found in the rubble and no body to bury.
The families would just sit around waiting for the bad news to come from a complete stranger
telling them that their loved ones were either dead or that they have not been found.
The people who didn’t lose anyone but they lived by the buildings lost their homes from
the debris hitting and smashing the homes or the air was too poisoned for them to stay and they
just had to get out of the area and move away.
That was a horrible day that effected each and every American in some way and
It will be visible for many years to come.
