But it is a giant leap for Indian engineering,

technology and science in general. For some stupid

reason a lot of people in the western hemisphere do

not recognize the the current tremendous growth and

advance of India. Or its potential in the present

and immediate near future. I am impressed though and

glad to see the mission going so well.

yes we proved where we are and what our scientist

did according to nasa
NASA has said that India's Chandrayaan-1 mission is

providing scientists with the first look inside the

moon's coldest and darkest craters, according to

their press release. NASA radar on board the

Chandrayaan-1 has sent back the first images of what

NASA calls "the floors of permanently shadowed polar

craters on the moon that aren't visible from Earth."

The press release further states "Scientists are

using the instrument to map and search the insides

of the craters for water ice."

o. Chandrayan is studying the Moon, which is part of

the subdisipline planetary science of astronomy.

Astrophysics studies stars, and is a completely

different subdiscipline of astronomy.

hese questions make me laugh. The only reason

they're being asked is to be sure everybody knows

that India has finally managed to send a probe to

the moon. Only 50 years after everybody else. Since

it probably amounts to a metal trash can with a

Polaroid camera mounted inside, I can't imagine what

India thinks it's going to do that hasn't already

been done better by someone else]]
