A person who has had a positive influence on my life is Stanley. He has been a very good friend of mine for three years now. He tends to be very quiet until a person gets to know him. He can act very goofy around some of his closest friends. He has been very helpful, a good listener, and a very determined person for as long as I have known him.
Stanley has been very helpful to me in many ways. He was like my own personal tutor for me in English class in high school. He has been a great deal of support for me. He has helped me learn to stay calm in stressful situations. He has been there for me through some very rough times. He was there for me when I was going through a break-up, when I just needed someone to talk to, and when my uncle died. I knew whenever I would go and talk to him that everything would be kept confidential just the same as whenever he would need to talk to me. He has talked to me and even just been there in silence to comfort me in some of these rough times. Our only form of communication is through letters now. Although the letters do not come very often he is still able to support me and talk me through many major situations.
Not only has he helped me he has helped several other people. He has helped other people by listening to them and being able to keep their secrets. He has been very protective of his family and those friends who to him are like his family. He is very trustworthy. People know they can go to him and trust that no one else will know what was talked about. He cares a lot about other people. He tends to put others' needs before his own. He is willing to do without to make others more comfortable. He likes helping other people very much. He wants everyone around him to be happy and open. He likes to surround himself with those people who are like him in different ways. This way he can help them better and they can in return help him if he is ever in a situation where he would need help....
