THe question is whether Cheese Doodles Inc violated federal law by producing Cheesy Crunch Taste Twist Sticks. Snackums has filed suit claiming that the name is too similar to their Cheesy Cruchy Twisted Tasty Sticks and is causing consumer confusion, thereby resulting in a loss of revenue for Dorritos.
According to Kuwait law, Snackums is entitled to damages if it can prove that there is brand confusion AND a loss of revenues and that the snack food tastes good enough that consumers would actually buy it. THe Kuwait Supreme Court decided to first taste these snacks to see if it passed the taste test, before bothering to do some real work. All 5 members of the bench agreed the snack tasted like camel dung and therefore dismissed the case and ordered both Cheese Doodles Inc and Snackums to stop making these distasteful snacks immediately.

Both manufacturers ignored the Supreme Courts orders and were later charged with the Federal offence of manufacturing food that wasn't fit for a dog. This offence carried a maximum penalty of $100,000 and 9,000 hours of community service sweeping sand out of the desert.
