My favorite holiday is Chinese New Year. I like Chinese New Year
because you get to do many fun things. The first thing we would do on
Chinese New Year is give each other presents. Then we would do a fun
activity in the afternoon. Finally at the end of the day we all go eat a big
dinner.
When we give presents we usually give money in these special red
packets with a dragon on it. Red is the symbol for love. The dragon is the
symbol for power. Other presents are ok but this is how we celebrate.
The activity we do is different every year. We can go bowling, ski,
arts, and many more. This year we played cards. Also we played poker for
four hours and we didn’t even notice it.
After that we go invite as many friends as possible. Once
they are all here we would go eat at a restaurant. This year I went to 666. My
favorite food there was the Peking duck.
The real meaning of Chinese New Year is to remember all the
