A) Time-availability approach - Is Consistent with the structural-functionalist perspective, this position claims that role performance is a function of who has time to accomplish certain tasks. Women are more likely to be at home, they are more likely to do domestic chores.
B) Relative resources approach -is that it consistent with conflict perspective, suggests that the spouse with the least power is relegate

C) Gender role ideology approach It Consistent with a symbolic interactionism perspective. It argues that the division of labor is a consequence of traditional socialization and the accompanying attitudes and belief. Women take care of the home and men the yard.

I believe that the “Time-availability approach,” is best explain why women continue to bear primary responsibility for housework and childcare because women spend more time with their children then the men does in a relationship.
