It was the first day of my freshman school year at Aquinas High School. As I walked in, I was wearing my school uniform with my varsity football sweater on over. As I was greeted by many people, who I have known or maybe didn't know, I was asked the same question over and over again. This was, " do you play on varsity football, as a freshman?" I proudly said yes, because this had helped me to know so many more people and get the respect I deserved.

As I looked at my first period class, it said co-ed P.E. and my teacher was my football coach, and this made me very happy. As I set it down and looked up, all of my senior football players, said this is the life, you now have earned respect from everyone for playing on varsity. As I walked out of the locker room, with my varsity teammates, everyone gasped when they saw I was on varsity. This had pleased me and I had many other friends who then did not talk trash to me since they know that if you mess with a varsity football player, then you will be hated.

Next, we were split into two big teams for dodgeball, I had almost all of the football team, and therefore we dominated. After a few games, we were dismissed and told to get ready for our next period. As we got changed, I was looking into my locker, and there I saw a rosary, this had begun my next challenge as a Aquinas High School student. This was to be more of a fallower in god. As the time passed, I could feel my faith strengthening, and it helped me to stay focused and respectful.

In conclusion, I had been well respected and had a great and fun, freshman year. I was very blessed to be on varsity football, and play with the team I did. Also, I grew in my faith, and am looking to end my sophomore year also with a bang and to always be remebered.
