Hello,
My name is Michael, I am twenty three years old, and I am currently a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. I am stationed here at Cherry Point, but I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I was deployed for six months on the 22nd MEU aboard the USS Kearsarge where we did missions such as Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Sea Angel which was a humanitarian mission to help the people of Bangladesh. While living on the boat we visited several different ports where we were allowed to get off the ship and experience different countries. Some of those places we went to were Rota Spain, Dubai, Israel, Turkey, Bangladesh, Bahrain, and Malta. I had a great time in port, but would not mind if I never had to live on a ship again. I was recently married in July to my amazing wife Nicole who is now living in Havelock with me. We have a dog which is a toy yorkie named Bink and a chinchilla named Chilli. Some of my hobbies are working on cars or playing Xbox live, when the wife lets me of course. This is my first semester at Craven. I did attend the Community College of Rhode Island for a semester before I joined the Marine Corps. While at Craven I would like to complete my general education degree and then transfer to Park University to work on my bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems Management. Other then General Psychology I am taking English 112 on campus and Understanding Art this semester.
