Understand the Principles of Effective Communication
Effective Communication implies that the information that has been transmitted from a sender to a receiver that is clear, fit for purpose and timely. A sender or source of information could be an employee, a friend, customer, student or teacher, for example, and the receiver or recipient could be a single person, multiple people or a target audience of some description. The principles of effective communication can be divided into the following main areas:

For communication to happen, two or more people are involved. One person expresses a message through words (spoken or written), signs, signals, facial and bodily expressions or even silence. The other person uses his/her senses (mostly sight and hearing) to gather aspects of the message.

Being able to communicate with a person or people at all levels is very important, and how you communicate information in terms of the delivery method, style and use of body language reflects on the type of person you are and impacts on the effectiveness of your interpersonal skills.

Verbal Dialogue is important because it is a direct form of communication and the response is received almost immediately, especially if the verbal exchange is conducted in person, not over the telephone etc. To express some emotion in verbal communication, some change of tone is needed:
a raised voice can indicate anger or impatience;
a lowered voice can show fear or insecurity.
