Cats VS Dogs


Cats and dogs are very popular pets. They are very similar and coexist in many households. However, they are also very different. One of the most obvious similarities between the two animals is that they both have hair and four legs. They both are domesticated animals kept as pets. Cats and dogs both require love and affection from their owners. Also both animals are from the same kingdom (Animalia), and are likewise from the same class (Mammalia)
However, cats belong to the family of felines, with a life expectancy of 12-25 years of age. These felines require a food and water bowl, a litter box, a few toys, scratching post and a brush for grooming. The amount a cat needs to eats various on its size, but less than a dog. This animal does not need bathing, but should be brushed regularly if it has long hair. Cats usually already know how to use a litter box, which involves cleaning twice a day. This tomcat can live in smaller areas and is normally only an indoor pet.
Cats are loners, meaning they spend a lot of time alone without getting lonely. The sounds they make differ from a dog. Typically you will hear a “meow” or a “purr” from a cat. These felines are very affectionate, and furthermore very independent. Cats don’t guard their owners, besides they are generally lazy; and can sleep up to 16 hours a day.
On the other hand, dogs come from a family of canis, the life expectancy of these canines varies depending on the breed. Pooches require a food and water bowl, a leash, collar, a dog bed, toys and treats. The amount of food dogs eat also depends on his/her size, but more than a cat. Canines need groomed, bathed, trained, and house broken. Dogs generally must have more space than cats to run around, besides they can be either indoor or outdoor pets. Canines are pack animals, which mean you should spend lots of time with your dog so that it doesn’t get lonely. A dog goes woof, bark, growl, and sometimes even howl, the opposite of a cat....
