Competitive Strategies
Most of men tend to have a passion about the cars. I am one of a man have a passion in the car a lot, or may be called cars enthusiasm guys. The car enthusiasm like the car will want to keep track of everything about the car whether maintenance inside and outside of the cars. And news updates from the cars company. It's the mother of all corporate rivalries, bigger than Coke vs. Pepsi, older than Nike vs. Reebok, and more compelling than Pampers vs. Huggies. It's fought with billion-dollar budgets for new models and marketing, and it is subject to more ups and downs than the stock market. While it may be temporarily overshadowed by the troubles of Japanese auto makers, and imperiled long-term by the rise in oil prices, one constant remains in Detroit: General Motors vs. Ford. The two companies have been battling it out for profits, market share, and hometown bragging rights almost from the time GM (GM) was founded in Flint, Michigan in 1908, five years after Ford (F, Fortune 500) got started in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn (CNN money, 2011). Therefore, in this assignment paper I will provide about comparison of two cars company between Ford and General Motors (GM). Paper will analyze about competitive strategies between this two cars company. In addition, Determine how each corporate culture differs from the other. Analyze three (3) ways that each unique culture has benefited by the other’s competition. Speculate how each would continue to thrive if its current corporate culture would need to change in the near future. And state what change(s) you are speculating on and what led you to identify that possibility.
