Crystal Clear Water Associates has revolutionized the bottled water industry using reverse osmosis or hyper-filtration to improve color, taste and the purity of its bottled water. The company is now ready to expand Crystal Clear Water distribution into South America. Argentina is the target location as it is in dire need of safe drinking water. Analysts have conducted market research and determined affordable bottled water is a niche’ in the Argentine market that has yet to be filled.
Marketing Needs/Growth
Safe drinking water is not readily available in Argentina for many of its citizens. The World Health Organization has emphasized that safe drinking water is an intrinsic human right and must be available to everyone. Safe drinking water is fundamental to a person’s health, development, and survival. In Argentina the bottled water currently available is marketed towards the wealthy and fairly expensive. There is a need for more affordable bottled water marketed toward the less affluent people in the country. Over time, the demand for bottled water has increased rapidly in order to ensure better health but the availability has been halted by the government and more affluent sector in Argentina. To sell bottled water in Argentina, the price must be kept low enough for low, middle, upper middle class citizens to afford to purchase it creating a demand for the product. This will ensure market growth continues to increase while providing a product that is so desperately needed by the people of Argentina.
