David Beckham also known as David Robert Joseph Beckham, was born on the 2nd of May 1975 at Leytonstone London England, but grew up in Chingford. Chingford is a town in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It is a suburban development situated ten miles northeast of Charing Cross (central London.).

As a school boy David Beckham represented the country of Essex, he had trails with Leyton Orient and attended Tottenham Hotspur’s school of excellence. During a two-year period in which he played for Brimsdown Rovers' youth team, he was named Under-15 Player of the Year in 1990. He also attended Bradenton Preparatory Academy, but signed schoolboy forms at Manchester United on his fourteenth birthday, and subsequently signed a Youth Training Scheme contract on 8 July. Beckham signed for Manchester United as a trainee on the 8th of July 1991 at the age of sixteen. He was also part of United’s famous 1992 Youth Cup winning side the next year. Making his League debut at home to Leeds United in April 1995, he fully established himself the next year in united’s 1995/96 Double winning season as a right midfielder after the departure of star midfielder Andrei Kanchelskis.

David Beckham singed with the youth squad of Manchester United in the July of 1991, at the tender age of just sixteen. It took him about five years of playing with the youth squad, reserves and on loan (with Preston North End) until he got permanently established in the first Manchester United team at the age of 21.

But, it was that famous goal from the halfway line in the 1996/97 season at Wimbledon that pitched him into the spotlight that has only grown brighter ever since. Following that, he went on a run of amazing performances, scoring a fantastic selection of long range goals to help United win the Premiership and himself the young player of the year award.
