Descriptive Essay: Day at the beach
As the orange hue cast over the gentle sea, the waves sing out a sweet and soothing lullaby – that describes the weather for the day. That of gentle and rhythmic motion or that of crashing into a turbulent motion, as the tide edges forward or the edges retreat. All the while allowing me to reminisce about my childhood. Memories of scooping up the featherlike sand and remolding them into magnificent images of my wild imagination. The beach really did bring everyone closer to each other and bring back memories of your childhood. Everything was possible at the beach. From the way people dress to the things they do, it describes them and their unique personality.
A warm sensation fell upon my face, as my long hair laced with blonde highlights glistening and dancing in the sun rays, crossed my face. As the sun pushed its way above the horizon, almost as if it was pushing through its own anxiety, to shine some sunlight upon the new day that is gently unfolding before my eyes.
The smell of the salty air tickled my nose as I took in a breath of fresh air, taking my own anxiety away on the calming breeze the gently blew past through the air, making my heart stop for only a brief second. Water is splashed everywhere from the children who have all flocked to the beach, with the grains so fine that it could not possibly be seen by the human eye, making those summertime memories that will last a lifetime. The reflection of faces from the children is almost seen as an invite to frolic in the waves. As the waves smile back accepting the invite to play with those that enter the playground, create a huge wave that carries everyone back to the safety of the shores. Laughter fills the air. Close your eyes for one second before you take the next step. Savor the moment, do not live to regret.
