I work for a dry-cleaning company and I believe the goal of this company is to provide services to consumers, the objective in the company is to be able to expand their stores and be number one in the dry-cleaning business in town and surrounding cities close by.
The process that we use to identify problems is by staying in contact with each store manager and the employees by using weekly reports and also consumer surveys that ell us what we can do to improve our services and what they think and feel about the company and how we can make our services such as Home Delivery and pick-up services as well as preserving the special clothes such as wedding Dresses or family keep sakes such as blankets and comforters etc…
Problems that may arise and have a negative impact on the company are the economy, such as gas prices and equipment breaking down such as the machines and the delivery vans and also not giving the best service that we can to customers. The most important people in our business are our customers as well as the employees as when they are not happy the company will fail which will result in lay-offs of employees and the closing of the stores.
When making decisions to solve problems in the company and the customers and employee’s the style that the company uses is the Democratic/ Participative leadership. The district manager and the owner have the final say but other members such as the employees and the area manager and the store managers can contribute to the decision making process and have their say or opinions on ways to improve our services and this helps improve the job satisfaction and by enabling and allowing the employees to participate in what goes on inside the company and helps to develop skills that help the employee to improve and in this way everyone feels in control and motivated to work hard for the company.
