At the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado on August 25-28, speakers from different political offices spoke supporting Barack Obama and Joe Bidden. Such speakers included Democratic city mayors, state governors, congressmen and congresswomen, former Democratic presidents and other important Democratic figures. Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry were some of the major speakers at the convention that gave very compelling and persuasive speeches.
When Senator Hillary Clinton Spoke at the convention, she rallied her supporters to now support Barack Obama to unite the party and become a strong Democratic Party. Her slogan for her support of Obama is, “no way, no how, no McCain.” She said it was for the good of the party to now stand behind Obama and Biden because in her speech, she listed the goals that Obama would do that she agrees strongly with. She said that Americans were hurting and needed change from the failed leadership of the Republicans and needed the leadership of Barack and the Democratic Party. In her speech, she claimed that the middle class was being overlooked by the Republican government and that with Barack and a strong Democratic government, they will fight to change that feeling of invisibility. She listed out the hardships that the middle and lower classes are going through such as rising gas prices, rising food costs, job loss, and expensive college fees. She says that with Obama, he will stop the deficit spending that has taken place by Bush and the Republicans, he will fight to solve the energy crisis so that we can stop depending on foreign lenders so much, and most importantly, he will make change that will start from the bottom up and not the bottom down. In her compelling speech, she said Obama will work to improve conditions for the lower and middle classes first because that is where the heart of America is, and that is where the people are hurting the most....
