Political Party Affiliation
Based on my knowledge and information about Democrats and Republicans, I feel that I am more affiliated with Democrats. I feel that Democrats are more for the average, everyday person. They are not just targeted on making the world a rich place. They want to reach out to everyone, even the people who are at the very bottom of the fish pool. When it comes to education, Democrats have a commitment to support and strengthen public schools instead of federal money going to private schools. I agree with this because ninety percent of students attend public schools. There are more there that need the help and money. Everyone can attend public school. It is a choice to attend a private school so too much federal money shouldn’t go to it.
Democrats seem to be very involved in education. Under the Clinton Administration, twenty percent more young people entered college. I think that this is partly to do because of the involvement that Democrats have on Education. College seems to be very important these days. A person will benefit a lot if they attend college. Democrats want to reduce class size by hiring on 100, 000 new teachers. I think this is wonderful because the smaller the class size, the more individual attention each student is able to receive. This will better the education of every student. I also agree with the views of Democrats on immigration. Democrats feel they want out country to flourish from benefits of diversity. I agree with this also. Immigrants have helped make America what it is today. I think that we should welcome in all sorts of people. Immigrants help boost our economy. They add many cultures into America. I think that it is great that we give immigrants a chance to start their own lives in America. Democrats have proposed Immigration reforms.
