The social side of life refers to the changes in lifestyle, behaviour, attitudes and different tastes, the decisions that are made suggest that we take into account everything from our own personal morals and ethics to the demographic needs for our particular product. Demographics can affect the business because of the changing size and age of the population will affect the Cadburys Ltd business, the size of the population is rapidly changing and if the rates are high the Cadbury will face an increased demand for the supply of products and services. This can be an opportunity for the business to expand into a wider market. The shareholders of the company would experience an increase in their dividends if accepts and reforms for change. Gilberts can also be affected by the social side of PESTLE because of the fact it is a small, local business that isn’t there to be well known but suggests that they actually need to get customers from the area in which the live, they have to attempt to draw people in .
Another social aspect that can affect a business in a social way is religion, this can be deemed as a very big part of the businesses plans because some religions have specific eating habits and they cannot therefore be applied to all tastes, for example the Islamic religion says that all Islamic people must eat Halal meat.
