It is a natural phenomenon that teachers are bestowed with the primary
responsibility to pass knowledge to their student, however, these duties cannot be over emphasized as they come with complexities because teacher are perceived as the epitome of all knowledge which puts them in a pride of place among their student that unknowing to them makes them role models. From the assertion above, one could ascertain or conclude that the action and /or the inaction of a teacher within and outside the four walls of lecture room are being swallowed up by the student he/she mentors but then I would restrain myself to what the roles, responsibilities and boundaries of a teacher is in terms of the teaching/learning cycle.

Firstly, it is the responsibility of an idea teacher to understand the need of the organisation with regards of the course of the study he is about to undertake as well as the qualification to be delivered, in the same vein he needs to understand that of the learners, these will help him in ascertaining the kind of teaching models he needs to engage while preparing his session plan, that is: whether to use the process model or to use the product model.

A teacher is saddled with various duties ranging from planning the scheme of work , this should be premised on the syllabus provided by the organisation in advance, in order to plan teaching in a progressive way, the teacher needs to prepare a session plan based on the scheme of work having at the back of his mind the overall aim of the course. While preparing each session plan, a teacher must be dynamic hence adopt variety of styles different from the previous lesson delivered in order to deliver exciting, inspiring and motivating learning approach which the learners will always look forward for.
