Scenes for a Movie
Unquestionably, the first scene should be when the rebels attack the homes’ of the seven boys. First, Ishmael’s home was attacked while he was in Mattru Jong with his friends. He did not tell his family he was leaving, because he was going to enter a talent contest and he would be back in a few days. Before they left for the contest the boys found out that his home town, Mogbowemo had been attacked by the rebels. Ishmael and Junior went back to their hometown to find it empty, and their family was gone. Next, Musa’s family was not together when the attack happened. They all found each otherand him and his father got to the next village they noticed that his Musa’s mother was gone. His father left and he never saw them again. Thirdly, Alahji was fishing by the river and by the time he got home everyone was gone. His village was deserted. He lost his parents, a sister, and two brothers. Then, Kanei was with his whole family, including his parents’ two sisters and three brothers when the rebels attacked their village. They all ran to the river and jumped in a boat. The rebels started shooting from the shore and the boat flipped over. Kanei swan as fast as he could, and when he got to the other side he saw all of the people screaming and drowning because they could not make the swim across. Next, Jumah and Moriba lived next door to each other, and their parents were traders at the wharf. They ran to the wharf and a previous hiding place, and could not find them so they had to run for safety. Finally, Saidu’s family could not make it out of the house the night the rebels attacked. They all hid under beds for then night. The next morning Saidu went up in the attic to get rice and such when the rebels bombarded their home. They raped his three teenage sisters, and beat his dad for talking. Later they made them take everything they owned, including food, and they took Saidu’s family with them....
