The Microsoft owned over 40 social media accounts spread out several social media platform in three years ago. Nonetheless, each department take responsibility for their own account, and there is no united management for all accounts. The published content are confused and different. The Microsoft realized the problem and pay attention to the new media. The reduce half of social media accounts and unified manage content and publishing. After these innovation, the company got large amount of social media fans.
The manager of social media department Rigottis ever said: “combine story present and introduction of products”. That means start communication from customs requirement, or not just focus on some products evaluation. Communication and advertisement should be on customs requirement. Show the products how to help custom working and solve problem. The Microsoft Dynamics social media account mainly focus on four digital media platform which is Twitter, Facebook, Linkedln and YouTube. Because these four platform got incredible visit amount increase, like Facebook and Twitter fans increase four times in last years, and YouTube visit amount increase 300% in last year.
The Microsoft just published a social media platform “TownHall”. The custom can establish website via this platform and encourage visitors participant in some special theme. The “TownHall”’s customs mainly from politician who need voter interesting and feedback. “TownHall” supports FacebookConnect log in, and customs can make investigation via visitor’s questions.
