Many people seemed to react in shocking way when they realize the United States is also struggling with poverty, it may not be as severe compared to other countries around the world but it still impacts many communities and the people around us on a daily basis. During the next couple months I will try to make a difference by helping local organizations or even ones that are further away and will do my best in making an effort to help an individual or a family that is in need of help. One of the organizations that I plan on getting in contact with is “Safe the Children” where I can sponsor a child and hopefully be able to get in contact with the child too, and I plan to make this a lifelong participation as well. My next involvement will be to get in touch with the Inland Valley “Habitat for Humanity” where I will take part in volunteering to help re-construct homes for families who cannot do so themselves, since there is an office located here in Temecula I will be able to become quickly involved in this organization. By participating in these 2 organizations as well as others, I hope I can truly make a difference for any individual or family just by taking my time to learn more about the poverty in America and by actively participating to make any kind of change.
